Step-by-Step Guide: Configuring OBS Streaming Acceleration

Let's say you want to stream on TikTok:

Step 1: Get Streaming Credentials

Obtain your streaming credentials from TikTok Live Studio or the backend:

  • Server (Server URL): rtmp://push-rtmp-f5-tt01.tiktokcdn.com/game (example)
  • Stream Key: xxxxxxxx

Step 2: Get Target IP

Since WarpTok forwarding requires a target IP, you need to ping the streaming domain.

In your terminal, enter:

ping push-rtmp-f5-tt01.tiktokcdn.com
# Get IP, e.g.: 103.x.x.x

Step 3: Configure WarpTok

  1. Log into the WarpTok console and create a new service.
  2. Target IP: Enter the TikTok server IP obtained in the previous step.
  3. Target Port: Enter 1935 (default RTMP port) or 443 (RTMPS).
  4. After creation, you'll receive the WarpTok Entry IP (e.g., 202.1.1.1) and Entry Port (e.g., 10086).

Step 4: Configure OBS

Open OBS -> Settings -> Stream:

  • Service: Custom
  • Server: rtmp://202.1.1.1:10086/game

(Note: Replace the domain with WarpTok entry IP and port with WarpTok entry port, keeping the path /game)

  • Stream Key: Enter your original TikTok stream key.

Click "Start Streaming" and you'll notice all network indicators at the bottom turn healthy green, with frame drop rates significantly reduced.

Advanced: RTMPS Encrypted Streaming

If the platform requires RTMPS (like Facebook Live), use port 443 as the target port. WarpTok supports transparent forwarding, so TLS encryption handshake will automatically complete between your OBS and the target server, ensuring security.
